“Malfoy got Hermione!” Ron said. “Look!”

He forced Hermione to show Snape her teeth— she was doing her best to hide them with her hands, though this was difficult as they had now grown past her collar. Pansy Parkinson and the other Slytherin girls were doubled up with silent giggles, pointing at Hermione from behind Snape’s back.

Snape looked coldly at Hermione, then said, “I see no difference.”

Hermione let out a whimper; her eyes filled with tears, she turned on her heel and ran, ran all the way up the corridor and out of sight.

Reading the books, you know Hermione has been teased mercilessly because she had large front teeth. I mean, it seems to really make a huge culmination after this happens, what with Slytherin girls (and probably others but I think I remember Slytherin specifically being named) calling her a chipmunk and whatnot, but being hit by a spell like this probably wouldn’t have bugged her so much if she wasn’t already very self conscious about her teeth.

Snape see’s that she’s in obvious distress. A 15 year old girl (I think she’s about 15 here) who’s eyes are filled with panic (described earlier on the page) and is on the verge of freaking the fuck out. And he just looks at her and says, “oh I see no difference.” Even though her teeth are clearly being described as being past her collar at this point.

I don’t care if he loved Lily for all those years and that love and his regret at being the cause of her fucking death is the reason he stays loyal to Dumbledore. Snape was a piece of shit and I don’t like him. This is only one example of him being a terrible person.

I mean shit, by Harry and Neville’s third year, Snape was Neville’s biggest fear because of how terrible Snape was to Neville.

THANK YOU.

Snape might have been a pitiable victim at one point, and he may have done good work for Dumbledore as a spy, but that doesn’t excuse his being an enabling, racist bully. He doesn’t even show any remorse or any sign that what he’s doing with the Death Eaters MIGHT be wrong until the girl he’s obsessed with is killed. Then, out of some misguided love-hate complex, he simultaneously protects and makes life miserable for her son and his companions in later years, for no discernible reason other than his own bitterness.

Hell, Harry was abused and neglected and picked on in his youth. And look how he turned out.

Yeah, Snape has no excuses. None.

Do you ever think about the kind of relationship Sirius and Regulus might of had before they were sorted and cry??

do you think Sirius has a tattoo of the moon on his body? and every day, depending on the cycle of the moon, his tattoo changes. Imagine Sirius in Azkaban, knowing that hundreds of miles away, Remus is alone on a full moon.

Hiatus apology

kassillus:

Hi guys! Sorry for the disappearance, senior thesis and work have me tied up for the time being, so I haven’t been active on here for quite a bit. The free time I do have, I’ve been spending them on playing video games (square enix decided to finally wake up and take hold of me once more) or just hanging with friends. So, hopefully, when everything has calmed down a bit, I’ll return. When? That I can’t tell you. Till then, have a black mage Harry (Happy 30th anniversary Final Fantasy, and 15th to Kingdom Hearts).
